Adult Couples
Taught by Josephine Young
Periodic 45-60 minutes classes held for four weeks at a time. Class techniques begin with the two-step, and then progress to other dances from there. Stay tuned to our Facebook page to see dates.
Ballet 1,2,3 Taught by Ton Winter
Intro Ballet Taught by Jessica Schreiner
Ballet Technique classes are the foundation for developing a solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement), and use of arms (port de bras). Class begins with work at the barre to build strength and coordination, followed by centre exercises, culminating in a grand allegro combination or variation.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Taught by Coach Taran Whelchel & Colton Rau
Wheatland MadHouse Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) offers training for the entire family, with kid classes for ages 5-15 and adult classes 16 and up. Classes aim to empower students by providing a safe place to acquire the skills needed to confidently grapple with challenges in this world. The weekly training helps adults and kids get in shape and make good friends, gain confidence with things such as bullying and self-defense, and to mature in areas of patience, self-control, and in the ability to win and lose with grace and humble sportsmanship.
Hip Hop 1,2,3
Taught by Mira Taylor
For ages 5 and up. Hip Hop is a very energetic style of dance so we hope your kids have lots of energy saved up and are ready to have some fun! Students will learn basic hip hop moves, enhance and develop coordination, and learn to memorize choreography by working on a combination each class. We focus on age appropriate hip hop dancing and music that your kids will love. We offer Children's Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes.
Irish Step
Taught by Molly Cundall
Traditional and contemporary Celtic dance. Ages 10-18, 10 student openings. We offer classes for the beginner student; covering the very basics of balance, strength training, mastering technique and learning steps and combinations
Jazz 1 Taught by Josephine Young
Jazz 2 Taught by Candice Palmer
For ages 5 & up. Jazz dance is a fun, high energy form of dance that expresses the music and emotions. Jazz is a great way to build technique such as body coordination, turns, jumps, and leaps. These skills are used in all genres of dance such as ballet, tap, lyrical, and hip hop. It is a great combination of technique and strong rhythmic steps with sharp fluid motions put to high energy music to teach not only great body coordination, but great self-confidence.
Lyrical 1,2,3
Taught by Jessica Schreiner
Lyrical for ages 5 and up. Lyrical is a dance style that embodies various aspects of ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and modern dance. This style combines ballet technique with the freedom and musicality of jazz and contemporary.
Mommy & Me
Taught by Josephine Young
A 4-week class offered in October and February, for both BOYS & GIRLS ages 3 and under! We work on body awareness, movement, rhythm, listening to instructions and musicality!
Performance Combo
Taught by Candice Palmer
For youth ages 10 and up. This will be a fun, fast-paced class that will give students the opportunity to expand their tap and jazz techniques, as well as increasing their performance experiences. In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn tap and jazz routines, then to perform the dances in various places, including recitals and Wheatland’s local events. This is a great opportunity to get to enjoy the experience of performing and entertaining, but also build self confidence that helps in all aspects of life. This will be a class that runs year-round to continue to learn dances to perform but also advance your level of tap and jazz technique. (This class will require a simple audition to join as it will be our traveling performance group, so we want to assure that students joining are committed to achieving a higher level of technique. Previous or current dance experience is required.)
Sunbeams
Taught by Josephine Young & Sabinra Lee
Sunbeams is an introductory dance class for children ages 3 - 5. We teach rhythm, basic dance skills, creative movement, music awareness, listening skills and much more. This class gives students the skills necessary to move onto tap, ballet and hip hop.
Taekwondo
Taught by Summer Whelchel
Taekwondo classes are good for the entire family, ages 5 and up. Classes focus on fitness and self-defense skills and involve learning dynamic kicking and hand techniques. The training and discipline required for Taekwondo inspire positive changes in all aspects of life as students grow in their fitness, focus, concentration, and confidence.

Tap 2 Taught by Candice Palmer
Ages 5 and up. Tap is a style of dance characterized by the sound of the metal tap striking the floor. Tap includes learning coordination, rhythm and musicality. Many different steps are learned to teach you and your feet how to make music.In tap class you are learning about music, how to make music and how to listen to music.
Tumbling
Taught by Chloe Palmer
For ages 5 and up. Tumbling is a great activity for children to do to supplement their athletic training, it focuses on balance, strength, and conditioning. It is also a wonderful activity for kids to learn body awareness, flexibility, perseverance, power, and is a really fun way to use up extra energy! Those in tumbling classes will learn skills such as forward and backward somersaults, handstands, cartwheels, front/back walkovers and handsprings, just to mention a few fun things!
Youth Cheer
Taught by Candice Palmer & Chloe Palmer
For ages 6-14 yrs...elementary and middle school-aged kids. This will be an energetic class that is based around poms/cheer and jazz techniques. It will help with coordination, precision, and teamwork to make a visual, fun dance. As the class improves, we hope to share routines at some of the local sporting events, which helps with self confidence in being in front of people. This class will give students the opportunity to learn some new techniques and skills and have fun doing it.

Oula Dance Fitness
Zumba
Oula is a dance-style fitness exercise that merges cardio of varying intensity levels with easy to follow choreography set to energetic pop songs. Join Certified Instructor Katy Finnerty in our Studio B on Saturdays at 10 am.
Our Zumba exercise classes are offered by Emily Luckert, who has been teaching Zumba for 6 years. She joined Dance Wyoming to teach Zumba in 2024, and in her spare time is a mom, teacher and farm wife. Join her classes in the summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:15-7:15 pm and in the fall Mondays and Thursdays from 7-8 pm and Wednesdays from 6-7 pm.
